GBV/CP
We engaged with other organizations, healthcare providers and local authorities on protection of women and children from sexual and gender-based violence GBV, and all sort of protection risk against the children. We assist women, bring perpetrators in order to justice and deter future acts of SGBV.
In Leer and Mayiandit counties of Unity State, we trained 15 gender activist to be change agents in prevention of school-related gender-based violence as well as school management committee and PTA parent’s teachers association to promote and enhance a conducive learning environment for boys and girls.
We held community awareness sessions in different locations with parents, religious leaders, local chiefs and judicial staff to discuss women’s rights, dangers and consequences of gender-based violence. We disseminated live-saving information on where to access services including creation of safe referral pass way after services mapping.
